Solid Timber Large Beam Range

Description

Our Large Beam Range is designed for customers wanting a more substantial timber feature above a fireplace or stove. With three profiles available, the collection ranges from a characterful solid oak beam to lighter hollow alternatives that create the appearance of a large solid timber mantel while reducing overall weight.

Sizes & Beam Options

• Great Beam – 190mm deep × 140mm high (7½” × 5½”). Cut from the heart of the oak log, so knots, splits and shakes give every beam an individual appearance.
• Large Hollow Beam – 229mm deep × 178mm high (9″ × 7″). A substantial hollow construction ideal where the appearance of a very large beam is wanted without the weight of solid timber.
• Hollow Beam – 178mm deep × 140mm high (7″ × 5½”). A slightly more compact hollow alternative.

Hollow beams can be made to bespoke sizes up to 3 metres, providing plenty of flexibility for larger fireplace openings.

Colour Finishes

All three profiles are available in seven colour options: Natural Waxed Oak, Light/Medium Oak, Medium Oak, Medium/Dark Oak, Ebony Oak, Silvered Oak and Warm Antique.

Texture & Ageing Options

The Great Beam offers the widest choice of character finishes: Round Edge, Rustic, Dressed, Aged, Extremely Aged and Ancient. It is not available in Prime timber.

The Large Hollow Beam and Hollow Beam are available in Round Edge, Rustic, Aged and Prime finishes. They are not available in Dressed, Extremely Aged or Ancient finishes, but unlike the Great Beam they can incorporate downlightsfor additional fireplace lighting.

With a choice of three substantial profiles, seven colours and multiple levels of ageing, the range can be tailored from clean and contemporary through to heavily distressed and traditional. As these are timber products, the correct combustible clearances from the stove and flue must always be maintained.
