Description
The HWAM 5600 Series is a distinctive modular corner wood-burning stove range, designed by Sørig & Jacobsenand manufactured in Denmark. Unlike HWAM’s more conventional freestanding ranges, the 5600 is designed as a flexible furniture-style heating system, allowing the stove to be combined with low or tall modules, log storage and display sections to create an installation tailored to the room.
Models & Configuration
The range includes models such as the HWAM 5610 and HWAM 5670, with the modular system offering four different stove heights. The key attraction is the corner-format firebox, which gives an excellent view of the flames while allowing the installation to be extended with matching modules.
- 5610c / 5610m – lower configurations, available with either Classic or Modern door styling.
- 5670c / 5670m – taller configurations for greater architectural presence and increased scope for heat storage.
- Classic (c) – cast-iron door for a more traditional appearance.
- Modern (m) – glass-fronted door for a cleaner, minimalist look.
- Left or right hinged – the door can be configured to suit the room and installation.
- Modular additions – tall and low sections can provide log storage, accessory storage or display space.
- Heat-storage stones – available for most configurations, retaining heat and releasing it gradually after the fire has died down.
Performance
The HWAM 5610 is rated at 7.1kW nominal heat output, with 79% efficiency and an A energy rating when equipped with HWAM® Autopilot™. Autopilot™ is fitted as standard and automatically assists with regulating the combustion air for efficient wood burning.
The series also features HWAM’s three-way airwash system to help keep the glass clear, a discreet handle and a choice of top or rear flue outlet. An optional fresh-air system can supply combustion air directly from outside, making the stove particularly suitable for modern, well-insulated properties.
The HWAM 5600 is therefore an excellent choice for customers looking for something more architectural than a conventional stove. Its combination of a 7.1kW fire, corner flame view, modular storage, multiple heights, left/right door options and optional heat storage allows the installation to become a complete feature within the room rather than simply a standalone wood burner.
