Build quality is at the heart of the Hamer range. The current Basset 5 is constructed from premium-quality steel and designed with longevity and serviceability in mind. Hamer backs the firebox with a 10-year extended guarantee, reflecting the manufacturer’s confidence in its construction.
Thoughtful features such as an Airwash system, primary and secondary air controls, double tertiary air system and vermiculite-lined firebox are designed to provide clean, controllable and efficient combustion while maintaining a clear view of the flames.
The Hamer Range
At the centre of the current range is the Hamer Basset 5, available with a choice of short or tall stand, allowing you to choose proportions that best complement your fireplace and room. Both versions provide approximately 5kW nominal heat output, making them suited to many typical living spaces.
With its clean lines and understated styling, the Basset 5 works equally well in traditional fireplace openings and contemporary interiors.
Wood Burning & Multifuel
One of the major advantages of the Basset 5 is its multifuel capability. Rather than limiting you solely to logs, it is designed to burn wood or suitable smokeless fuels, giving you greater flexibility over how you heat your home. HETAS lists the Basset 5 Tall for both wood logs and smokeless fuel.
The Basset 5 is also Ecodesign compliant, achieves efficiency of over 80%, and is DEFRA exempt for use in Smoke Control Areas when used in accordance with its approved conditions.
