British Fires Brockenhurst Suite Range

Love the media-wall look, but not the building work?

An electric fireplace suite could be the perfect alternative.

Designed to create a complete, beautifully proportioned feature, a suite gives you the impact of a contemporary built-in fireplace without necessarily needing the framing, plastering and decorating associated with a bespoke media wall.

Quicker to install, less disruptive and easier to change in the future, it’s a simple way to transform a room — while still allowing the fire to become a stunning focal point in its own right.

Big impact. Less building work. Beautifully simple.

Description

The British Fires Brockenhurst is a wide, contemporary wall-hung electric fireplace suite, designed around the New Forest electric fire. Compared with the Winchester, its proportions are lower and wider, giving it a particularly clean, modern appearance.

Sizes

There are three options:

Model Overall width Suite height Depth
Brockenhurst 870 1400mm 404mm 317.5mm
Brockenhurst 1200 1730mm 404mm 317.5mm
Brockenhurst 1600 2130mm 404mm 317.5mm

The proportions scale with the corresponding 870, 1200 and 1600 New Forest fires.

Colours

The surround is available in two hand-painted marble-effect finishes:

White Marble-effect — a light finish with subtle soft-grey veining, ideal for brighter and more neutral interiors.

Grey Marble-effect — a deeper grey finish with understated marble detailing for a stronger, more contemporary appearance.

The suite itself is MDF, with the marble detailing applied by hand so the veining continues around the edges and corners rather than looking like separate joined panels.

Fire options

The Brockenhurst can be specified in Signature, Deluxe or Black Edition.

Signature uses British Fires’ ceramic log fuel bed.

Deluxe upgrades the fire with genuine British oak logs, hand-charred and arranged over bark, twigs and log remnants for a much more natural appearance.

Black Edition also incorporates the real-log fuel bed but uses premium dark rear glass, designed to reduce room reflections and emphasise the flame visuals.

An anti-reflective (AR) glass upgrade is also listed as available for the Brockenhurst.

How does it work?

The Brockenhurst is designed as a relatively straightforward wall-hung installation rather than requiring a conventional fireplace or full media-wall construction.

The New Forest fire is secured to the wall using the supplied mounting bracket. The lightweight MDF suite then fits around the fire and locks into position. There’s no chimney or flue required.

The fire uses LED flame technology, and the flame effect can provide ambience independently of the heater. When heat is wanted, British Fires’ Air Curtain Technology provides up to 1.5kW of supplementary heat. Temperature can be thermostatically controlled between 17°C and 27°C, and a remote control is supplied. Electrical specification is 220–240V AC with a 13A fuse rating.
