Description
The Charnwood Haven is quite different from a conventional wood-burning stove. It combines room heating, a proper oven and a large cooking hotplate in one compact appliance, making it particularly interesting for kitchens, open-plan spaces, cabins and homes where customers like the idea of cooking with wood.
Why choose the Haven?
The big attraction is that the heat from your fire isn’t just heating the room — you can cook with it too. The Haven has a 29-litre stainless-steel-lined oven, an integrated oven thermometer and a generous hotplate suitable for kettles, saucepans and frying pans. Charnwood describes it as suitable for everything from soups and roasts to cakes and bakes.
At the same time, the large glazed firebox gives you the atmosphere and flame view of a contemporary wood burner. So rather than looking like a traditional solid-fuel range cooker, it feels much more like a modern stove with additional cooking capability.
It’s particularly appealing for open-plan kitchen/living spaces, smaller homes, cabins, bothies and off-grid properties.

Style options
The Haven can be ordered with high legs for a lighter, more traditional freestanding appearance, or a store stand, which creates useful space beneath the stove and gives it a more substantial look. Charnwood also lists an optional rear shelf and flame guard.
