The FDC Bolection is a timeless fireplace surround with simple, elegant proportions, suitable for both traditional and contemporary interiors.

Our showroom model is crafted from Arabescato marble in a honed finish, featuring distinctive natural grey veining against a crisp white background. As a natural material, every surround has its own unique pattern and character.

Description

The Bolection is produced in a particularly broad selection of natural stone and marble. Current FDC listings include Aegean Limestone, supplied in a honed finish, plus marble choices such as Bianca Carrara, Arabescato, Nero Marquina, Dolomite Gold and Rosso Levanto. Depending on the marble, honed and/or polished finishes are available.

For example, FDC currently lists the 50″ Arabescato Bolection in a honed finish, with alternatives including polished Arabescato, honed or polished Carrara, Dolomite Gold, honed or polished Nero Marquina and polished Rosso Levanto.

Because these are natural materials, each surround will have individual variations in colour, veining, fossils and markings. FDC notes that these variations are an inherent feature of natural stone rather than a defect.

It’s worth distinguishing the standard Bolection from FDC’s other Bolection designs. The Salisbury Bolection is available in 51″, 54″ and 58″ standard widths, while the Pembroke Bolection is offered in 54″ and 58″ sizes.
