FDC Paignton Fireplace
The Paignton is currently offered in two principal materials:
- Aegean Limestone – Honed — a creamy-white, fine-grained natural limestone with fossil markings and natural pitting. FDC supplies its Aegean limestone with a honed finish.
- Bianca Carrara Marble – Honed — classic white/grey Carrara marble with natural veining and a smooth matt honed finish. FDC currently lists Paignton Carrara – Honed in its stocked marble collection.
Description
The FDC Paignton is a traditional-style fireplace surround with clean lines and subtle period detailing, designed to work comfortably in both classic and more contemporary interiors.
From FDC’s current range, the standard Paignton appears to be 54 inches (approx. 1372 mm) overall mantel width, with a 25 mm rebate.
Available finishes

Standard size: 54″ / approx. 1372 mm wide. FDC also confirms that its fireplace surrounds can be made to bespoke dimensions, so the Paignton can be resized where the standard dimensions don’t suit the chimney breast or opening.
As these are natural stones, colour, veining, fossil content and surface characteristics will vary from one fireplace to another, making each surround individual.
