Description

The HWAM 4500 and 4600 Series are contemporary Danish wood-burning stoves with a distinctive square-but-softened design, large flame views and a choice of classic (c) or modern (m) doors. The key difference between the two families is size and output: the 4500 is the more compact 4.9kW range, while the wider 4600 is designed for larger rooms with an 8.0kW nominal output.

HWAM 4500 Range

The 4500 Series includes six models, all approximately 500mm wide × 406mm deep, with different heights and glazing configurations. The 4510, 4530 and 4550 have side glass for a three-sided view of the flames, while the 4520, 4540 and 4560 have solid sides, providing greater flexibility when positioning the stove.

  • HWAM 4510 – Compact 755mm-high model with side glass; can also be fitted with low or high plinth options.
  • HWAM 4520 – Compact 755mm-high model with solid sides; also available with low or high plinths.
  • HWAM 4530 – Taller 1143mm-high model with side glass.
  • HWAM 4540 – 1143mm-high solid-sided model, with optional natural-stone cladding.
  • HWAM 4550 – Tall 1388mm-high model with side glass and the option of approximately 29kg of heat-storage stones.
  • HWAM 4560 – Tall 1388mm-high solid-sided model, available with natural-stone cladding and optional heat-storage stones.

The current 4540 specification, representative of the range, gives a 4.9kW nominal heat output and up to 82% efficiency, with an A+ energy rating.

HWAM 4600 Range

The 4600 Series is noticeably wider at 630mm, giving it a larger combustion chamber and a broader flame picture. The main models are the 4620, 4640 and 4660, each available with either a c classic door or m modern door.

HWAM 4620 is the compact version at 848mm H × 630mm W × 406mm D. HWAM 4640 increases the height to 1143mm and can be specified with steel or natural-stone cladding. HWAM 4660 is the tallest at 1388mm, with natural-stone options and an upper compartment capable of accommodating heat-storage stones.

The current UK specification for the 4620, 4640 and 4660 gives a substantial 8.0kW nominal heat output, 81% useful efficiency and an A+ energy rating with HWAM’s electronic combustion-control configuration.

Both ranges offer HWAM® Autopilot™ and HWAM® SmartControl™ configurations, depending on model and market. Natural-stone finishes are also available on selected models, providing both a distinctive appearance and additional heat-retention properties.

For customers, the choice is straightforward: choose the 4500 Series for a compact 4.9kW stove, with the option of three-sided glazing, and choose the 4600 Series when a larger 8kW stove and wider flame view are required. Within either family, the taller models provide greater visual presence and, on selected versions, the additional benefit of heat storage.
