Behind The Fire Place is a team with a genuine passion for what we do. Phil, our Managing Director and Surveyor, brings over 25 years of industry experience, Wonderful Sara in accounts keeping the paperwork all balanced up, while Ben and Alex are on hand in the showroom to help bring your ideas to life.

Nic heads up installations and bespoke projects, supported by Lee, Matt, Gary, Tom and Sam â€” our talented installers and creators of masterpieces!

We work with a carefully selected collection of established manufacturers, giving us options across traditional and contemporary wood-burning, gas and electric appliances. This also means we can recommend a product based on what’s right for your project rather than being restricted to a single manufacturer.

Yes. There are often several possibilities. We may be able to retain the existing fireplace and install an inset appliance, fit a small stove into the existing opening, or open up and completely remodel the fireplace to accommodate a larger stove.

Yes. We offer much more than wood-burning stoves. Depending on your requirements, we can help with wood-burning, gas and electric fires and stoves, as well as traditional fireplaces and contemporary installations.

Because we’re not simply here to sell you a stove.
We look at the whole fireplace â€” the appliance, chimney, flue, hearth, building work, proportions and finishing details — and help bring everything together as one complete project.
